Thrill-seekers won’t want to miss the Wisconsin State Fair’s amusement ride and game area, SpinCity, which features more than 50 rides and 30 games.
Things to Do at the State Fair
Remembering Our Fallen Memorial
The Remembering Our Fallen Memorial, a national memorial that honors our country’s military members and their service through impactful photography displayed on 34 Tribute Towers. Located at the south end of the Exposition Center.
Cow-Temporary Art Walk
Artistic talent is overflowing in the Cream of the Crop Cow-temporary Art Walk. See the mammoth barn quilt, metal cows, flowery horses, the legend-dairy Milky Way, and magnificent murals all over State Fair!
Fairtastic Poster Art Competition
The Wisconsin State Fairtastic Poster Art Competition is a way to celebrate and engage local and statewide artisan talent. This year's winning piece was created by Jeff Sadowski of Brookfield, Wisconsin and can be purchased at during the 2024 Wisconsin State Fair.
Plein Air at the Fair
On Monday, August 5 and Tuesday, August 6, artists will create State Fair masterpieces right in front of your eyes. Wander the Fair to see artists draw and paint to transform their blank canvas from inspiration to masterpiece.
1851 Steel & Stone
Fabricated to pay homage to Wisconsin’s industrial roots, the 1851 Steel & Stone water feature commemorates the first year of the Wisconsin State Fair. Located in Central Park.
The Milky Way
This legend-dairy gathering place is home to the iconic, refreshed, giant milk jug! Be sure to check out the State Fair animals featured in Larry Schultz’s original Milk Jug. Located near Entrance A, this park-like setting is an amazing spot to relax or meet with family and friends during your day!
Exploratory Park
Take your family on an adventure through Exploratory Park! This relaxing oasis on the south side of the State Fair features hands-on stations for kids of all ages.
Garden Walk
Our "Cream of the Crop" Flower Crew put bushels of love into the 2024 Abso-blooming-lutely Garden Walk!
Wisconsin State Fair History Walk
Visit the “Cream of the Crop” History Display and participate in the inaugural History Walk. Punch cards available in at the History Building on the south end of Exploratory Park.
Big Dog Entertainment
Stop by Big Dog Entertainment's trailer and be transported into an arcade where you can play games or challenge your friends. Located west of the Original Cream Puff Pavilion across from the Ejection Seat.
American Arm Speed Pitch
See how fast you can pitch at the American Arm Speed Pitch. Located west of the Original Cream Puff Pavilion.
Ejection Seat
With spires more than 100 feet in the air, this sling-shot style ride is for thrill seekers. Cost is $45 each for a two-person ride or $65 for a single-person ride. Located next to the Original Cream Puff Pavilion.
Giant Slide
The Giant Slide has been a State Fair icon for over 50 years. Hop on a burlap sack and take a magic carpet ride. Trips down the 200 ft. slide are only $4 each. Located on Second Street at Central Avenue.
Keys Karaoke
Sing your heart out State Fair! Find all day entertainment at the NEW State Fair karaoke spot - Keys Karaoke. Located on South Grandstand Avenue.
Pig Slide
Kids will love a ride down the world’s largest piggy bank. Take a trip down the slide for only $1.
Pony Rides
Take a spin on a real-life pony! Rides cost $12 each. Located on Sue Wetley Court near the Compeer Financial Discovery Barnyard.
Aerial Attractions Trampolines
Aerial Attractions Trampolines have jumpers securely harnessed and use bungees to help create a high-flying, fun-filled experience for $14. Located on Wetley Way across from the K-9 Sports Arena, in the Exposition Center, and on Sue Wetley Court across from Cracovia.
SkyGlider
Presented by Kwik Trip. Don't miss this bird's-eye view of all the fun down below! One-way tickets are $6, and round-trip is $10. Tickets are available at each end of the SkyGlider near the Exposition Center and on North Grandstand Avenue near the SpinCity Entrance.
SpinCity
Don’t miss SpinCity - the State Fair’s exciting Amusement Ride & Game Area! SpinCity features a super assortment of amazing rides and games with plenty of great chances to win fabulous prizes! The area also offers well-shaded seating areas and plenty of delicious concessions.
WonderFair Wheel
Presented by Meijer. North America’s largest traveling Ferris wheel is 15-stories high, featuring 36 colorful six-person gondolas and an amazing view of the State Fair and surrounding cities with each go-round.
