Come on down to the Wisconsin State Fair from August 1-11, 2024!

These are hours of operation for the 2024 Wisconsin State Fair:

  • Sunday – Wednesday: 10am – 10pm

  • Thursday – Saturday: 10am – midnight

State Fair Hours

The 2024 Wisconsin State Fair will be open exclusively from August 1-11 this year.

Thursday – Saturday 10am – midnight

Please note that ticket sales and State Fair entry end one (1) hour prior to Fair Park closure. Hand stamps are available for re-entry on the same day. Re-entry handstamps end two (2) hours prior to Fair Park closure.

Fairgoers seventeen (17) years of age and under must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian (age 21+) to enter Wisconsin State Fair Park after 5pm each day of the State Fair. For more information on the Youth Admission Policy, as well as other policies, please click HERE.

Building Hours

Buildings within the State Fair have slightly different hours than the whole event. See below for the hours for different types of buildings.

*On most days of the State Fair there will be early barn closures. Please see our Barn Closures page for the full schedule.

Ride & Amusement Hours

Rides and amusement areas within the State Fair have slightly different hours than the whole event. See below for the hours for different rides and amusement areas.

*SpinCity may close earlier than scheduled or throughout the day without notice depending on weather or other safety measures.

What if I want to attend an Agriculture Show prior to the Fair’s opening time?

Agriculture Show spectators may enter the Fair prior to official fair opening. Details are as follows:

Admission Entrances: Two admission entrances – Ag Village Entrance D (84th Street & Schlinger Ave) and Tunnel Entrance F – will be open for Ag Show spectators beginning at 7am. Admission tickets are required to attend Ag Shows, and advance purchase is encouraged.  Only credit cards will be accepted for your admission ticket purchase at the gates.

Parking Entrance: Gate 1 | Open at 6am daily

Access will be restricted to agriculture areas of the State Fair. Non-agriculture areas of the Fair will open at 10am.
