Open Sheep

  • Rotation 1: August 1-4, 2024

  • Rotation 2: August 8-11, 2024

Open Sheep exhibitors must be at least five years of age as of January 1st of the current year to show their animal(s) in the show ring.

Exhibitors under five years of age may still enter an animal, but the person showing and presenting the animal during the judging must meet the above age requirement.

Show Stalling Information

Show stalling information will be available in Late July:

Sheep will be stalled in the Sheep & Goat Barn and all classes will be judged in the Sheep & Goat Barn Show Ring.

General Entry Reminders:

  1. Open Exhibitors may only enter online, excluding Champions Challenge exhibitors.
  2. Please check all entry deadlines, arrival, show and release dates carefully!
  3. Please read the Animal Health Requirements for animals entering Wisconsin from the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection

The following documents apply to all open show livestock exhibitors at Wisconsin State Fair. Please read through this information prior to arrival.

Youth Center

A limited number of rooms are available in the Youth Center Thursday, August 8th (after 10 pm) through Sunday, August 11th.

3.21.24 UPDATE: the Youth Center is full for Thursday, August 8th – Sunday, August 11th
3.22.24 UPDATE: the wait list for the Youth Center during the Open Show Thursday, August 8th – Sunday, August 11th is closed.

Please note: no alcohol is allowed in the Youth Center and all open show exhibitor staying in the Youth Center must purchase a Fair admission wristband for the Youth Center.
