Enjoy signature attractions like the Giant Slide and SkyGlider or see the State Fair in a new way by enjoying the scavenger hunt-style Garden Walk or Art Walk. Check out all the other Arts, Displays and Daily Features on your way.
Thrill-seekers won’t want to miss the Wisconsin State Fair’s amusement ride and game area, SpinCity, which features more than 50 rides and 30 games.

Things to Do at the State Fair
“Wildlife & Winds of Wisconsin” Carving
Be amazed by State Fair’s new tree carving on the northeast side of Exploratory Park. You will dig the design where Wisconsin animals are revealed in the tree. Located in the Exploratory Park.
Cow-Temporary Art Walk
Artistic talent is flooding in the "Digging Local" Cow-temporary Art Walk! See the mammoth barn quilts, totally traditional topiaries, a massive tree carving, the new Birdhouse Boulevard, Youth Exhibits projects, and more all over State Fair during this art walk!
Fairtastic Poster Art Competition
The Wisconsin State Fairtastic Poster Art Competition is a way to celebrate and engage local and statewide artisan talent.
Plein Air at the Fair
On Monday, August 4 and Tuesday, August 5, seek out and find your favorite artists capturing your memorable State Fair moments as they paint with old and new sites.

1851 Steel & Stone
Fabricated to pay homage to Wisconsin’s industrial roots, the 1851 Steel & Stone water feature commemorates the first year of the Wisconsin State Fair. Located in Central Park.
The Milky Way
This legend-dairy gathering place is home to the iconic, refreshed, giant milk jug! Be sure to check out the State Fair animals featured in Larry Schultz’s original Milk Jug. Located near Entrance A, this park-like setting is an amazing spot to relax or meet with family and friends during your day!
Exploratory Park
Take your family on an adventure through Exploratory Park! This relaxing oasis on the south side of the State Fair features hands-on stations for kids of all ages.
Garden Walk
Frolic through the State Fair to see plentiful blooms and admire the totally traditional topiaries, milk cans, mining carts, Milky Way, and in Grand Champion Hall – all planted by our Flower Crew.
Wisconsin State Fair History Walk
Visit the “Construction Inspired” History Display and witness how State Fair has transformed The Dairy Building, North Point, and even more around our Fair Park. Punch cards available in at the History Building on the south end of Exploratory Park.
Butterflies Alive!
Walk among butterflies at this interactive experience, Butterflies Alive! Located on South Grandstand Avenue near Entrance A.
SkyScraper
Take your State Fair experience to new heights with this towering thrill ride! With the SkyScraper’s windmill-like arms, soar 160 feet in the air above the crowds and spin through the sky for a heart-pounding adventure you won’t forget. Located on South Grandstand Avenue near Cirque at the Fair.
Akoya Pick A Pearl
See pearls shucked from oysters right in front of your eyes with this brand-new attraction, Akoya Pick A Pearl. Located in the Exposition Center.
Big Dog Entertainment
Stop by Big Dog Entertainment's trailer and be transported into an arcade where you can play games or challenge your friends. Located in the Back Forty near First Street.
Giant Slide
The Giant Slide has been a State Fair icon for over 50 years. Hop on a burlap sack and take a magic carpet ride. Trips down the 200 ft. slide are only $4 each. Located on Second Street at Central Avenue.
American Arm Speed Pitch
See how fast you can pitch at the American Arm Speed Pitch. Located in the Back Forty, west of The Dairy Building.
Ejection Seat
With spires more than 100 feet in the air, this sling-shot style ride is for thrill seekers. Cost is $50 each for a two-person ride or $70 for a single-person ride. Located on Wetley Way & Center Street.
Keys Karaoke
Sing your heart out State Fair! Find all day entertainment at the State Fair karaoke spot - Keys Karaoke. Located on South Grandstand Avenue.
Pig Slide
Kids will love a ride down the world’s largest piggy bank. Take a trip down the slide for only $2.
Pony Rides
Take a spin on a real-life pony! Rides cost $12 each. Located on Sue Wetley Court near the Compeer Financial Discovery Barnyard.
Aerial Attractions Trampolines
Aerial Attractions Trampolines have jumpers securely harnessed and use bungees to help create a high-flying, fun-filled experience for $15. Located on Wetley Way near Entrance C, in the Exposition Center, and on Sue Wetley Court across from Cracovia.
SkyGlider
Presented by Kwik Trip. Don't miss this bird's-eye view of all the fun down below! One-way tickets are $6, and round-trip is $10. Tickets are available at each end of the SkyGlider near the Exposition Center and on North Grandstand Avenue near the SpinCity Entrance.
SpinCity
Don’t miss SpinCity - the State Fair’s exciting Amusement Ride & Game Area! SpinCity features a super assortment of amazing rides and games with plenty of great chances to win fabulous prizes! The area also offers well-shaded seating areas and plenty of delicious concessions.
WonderFair Wheel
Presented by Meijer. North America’s largest traveling Ferris wheel is 15-stories high with an amazing view of the State Fair and surrounding cities! Located on Main Street near Entrance C.
