Barn Closures

For the safety of the animals, exhibitors and Fairgoers, barns must be closed to allow animals to leave and the barns to be cleaned for the arrival of new animals and new exhibitors. On days the barns close early for animals to leave, certain streets in Ag Village will be closed or have limited access.

Barns & Show Rings

Over seven thousand animals will participate in judging events during the eleven days of the Wisconsin State Fair. Check out all the barns and show rings for when different types of animals will be staying in the barns and competing in the events.

Barn Quilts

Barn quilts were originally conceived as a way to encourage economic development by promoting agritourism in rural areas of Wisconsin. The winning 2024 quilt is displayed on one of the Upper Cattle Barns. Look for other beautiful barn quilts on all the barns in Ag Village!

Hank Aaron State Trail Closure

With safety as our top priority, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will be closing a section of the Hank Aaron State Trail during State Fair. We understand this presents challenges and appreciate your understanding of how important this safety measure is for the Fairgoers we welcome. See detour map here.

Bicycle Parking

Save gas and get some exercise when you pedal to the park! FREE bicycle parking is available at two dedicated areas. Please bring a bike lock to secure your bicycle.
