Horticulture, Textiles, Craft & Culinary Exhibits

Seasoned with Creativity is in full bloom in Grand Champion Hall. Take in blooming displays from dahlias to vegetables and everything green in between. Plus, exhibitors have been harvesting their best ideas to create and display hand-crafted masterpieces.

Agriculture

Animals and agriculture are a necessity at the State Fair! While we can't explore the barns, watch livestock judging, or enjoy hands-on learning in the Compeer Financial Discovery Barnyard, we do have a number of online ways to keep you connected to our agriculture roots.

Agriculture Demonstration Series

Presented by Compeer Financial. Each video showcases a different type of animal shown at State Fair, how their exhibitors get them ready for competition day, and what the judge is looking for in the show ring.

Animals

Wisconsin's largest agricultural showcase has a can't-miss line-up! Featuring animals from large and small to mature and young, visit Ag Village to see them up close and personal.

Barn Closures

For the safety of the animals, exhibitors and Fairgoers, barns must be closed to allow animals to leave and the barns to be cleaned for the arrival of new animals and new exhibitors. On days the barns close early for animals to leave, certain streets in Ag Village will be closed or have limited access.

Barns & Show Rings

Over seven thousand animals will participate in judging events during the eleven days of the Wisconsin State Fair. Check out all the barns and show rings for when different types of animals will be staying in the barns and competing in the events.

Barn Quilts

Barn quilts were originally conceived as a way to encourage economic development by promoting agritourism in rural areas of Wisconsin. The winning 2023 quilt will be displayed on the north side of the Compeer Financial Discovery Barnyard. Look for other beautiful barn quilts on all the barns in Ag Village!

Camp of Champions

Starting Friday, August 11, stop by the south end of the Lower Cattle Barn to see the Camp of Champions. This exhibit features all of the Grand Champion Drive winners auctioned off in the Governor’s Blue Ribbon Livestock Auction held on Wednesday, August 9. Open from 10am-9pm.

Case IH Tractor Display

There’s no better way to learn about what it takes to be a farmer than from Wisconsin-based company, Case IH. Visit to learn about their mission, see the equipment display, play Wheel of Farming, and more. Located between the Case IH Coliseum and Wisconsin Products Pavilion.
