Prize-Winning Exhibits

The State Fair hosts many different categories for DIY enthusiasts to compete. Each year over 3,000 exhibitors enter their handmade projects to see who is the best of the best.

Whether its art competitions for Wisconsin’s youth, seeing who can grow the largest corn stalk, or a contest for the best alcohol-infused pie, there are lots of ways to discover the talent of our exhibitors.

Check out the exhibits available at the State Fair below, and if you’d like to enter your own creation, check out our Competitions website to learn more.

State Fair Culinary Judging

Types of Exhibits at State Fair

Horticulture, Textiles, Craft & Culinary Exhibits

Exhibitors bring their bounty to Grand Champion Hall in attempt to “steel” the top spot in the “Digging Local” with growing horticulture exhibits, prize-winning vegetables, herbs, bonsai, gladiolus, ikebana, roses, dahlia, and garden club displays. Then, get ready to “dig deep” with our exhibitors’ award-winning photos, textiles, quilts, and culinary exhibits on display in Grand Champion Hall.

Barn Quilts

Barn quilts were originally conceived as a way to encourage economic development by promoting agritourism in rural areas of Wisconsin. The winning 2024 quilt is displayed on one of the Upper Cattle Barns. Look for other beautiful barn quilts on all the barns in Ag Village!
