Accessibility
Wisconsin State Fair Park is committed to accessibility on the grounds and to our facilities.
It is our hope that the following information is of assistance when visiting activities and events at State Fair Park, providing for a more enjoyable and pleasant experience.
All restrooms at State Fair Park are compliant with ADA regulations and feature handicap accessible stalls, sinks, soap and paper dispensers at wheelchair height. Most, but not all, male and female restroom facilities are equipped with changing tables.
Service dogs are permitted in all facilities and on the grounds of Wisconsin State Fair Park. Service dogs must be leashed, harnessed or otherwise tethered and under the handler’s control.
Exposition Center
Parking
Permanent, handicap parking spaces are located on the west and north side of the facility and can be accessed by entering State Fair Park via Gate 4.
Temporary event-by-event basis spaces are located on the south and east sides of the facility and may also be accessed via Gates 4.
Please ask the parking attendant to direct you to handicap parking, which is available on a first-come, first-served basis. State Fair Park does ask the cooperation of our guests in displaying valid permanent or temporary handicap decals or plates.
Facility Entry
The main entrances utilized for the pubic during events at the Exposition Center are located on the north and west sides of the building.
Public entrances have handicap decal, push activated doors for entry and exit.
Elevator
An elevator is located on the northeast end of the north lobby area.
The elevator provides access to reach meeting and conference rooms on the second floor of the facility as well as the Exposition Center administrative offices.
Emergency Exits
Each of the three second floor exit towers contain a rescue platform area whereby wheelchair bound guests may wait inside a fire-rated tower and utilize a rescue assistance call button.
The assistance call button rings through to the main, north lobby and is monitored by the West Allis Fire Department during an emergency response.
Restrooms
All public restrooms within the Exposition Center have at least one handicap stall outfitted with grab bars and accessible coat hooks. Counters, paper towel and soap dispensers in all restrooms are at wheelchair accessible height.
A family restroom is located on the first floor near the elevator on the east end of the north lobby.
Changing Stations
The Family Restroom at the east end of the north corridor on the main level is equipped with a changing station for families.
Drinking Fountains
All public drinking fountains are fitted with ADA-compliant plastic protector skirts and offer wheelchair accessibility.
Meeting Rooms / Exhibit Halls
All meeting room set-ups and exhibit hall aisles are monitored to ensure they meet ADA required widths.
Other Facilities
Bi-Level Barn
The Bi-Level Barn is accessible from the lower of the two levels and the facility is equipped with an elevator for access to the upper level.
Restrooms are conveniently located on upper level (outside) at the northeast corner of the facility and are handicap accessible.
Milwaukee Mile Grandstand
Wheelchair seating is available on all levels of the grandstand.
Upon ordering tickets for paid events, it is recommended that handicap seating be requested at the time of purchase.
All of the restroom facilities at the Milwaukee Mile are accessible.
Original Cream Puff Pavilion
There are no automatic doors on this facility, all of the entrances are at ADA compliant grade and the west entrance has a ramp that guests may utilize.
Wisconsin Products Pavilion
The pavilion has a handicap accessible ramp on east side of the building and the west side entryways are at accessible grade.
Tommy G Thompson Youth Center
The Youth Center has a ramp outside of the main entrance to the facility on the west side of the building. Entry and exit doors have handicap identified automatic openers.
Designated handicap parking spaces are located on the southeast side of the parking lot in front of the facility, in the first row.
The facility is equipped with an elevator that accesses all levels of the building.
Restrooms within the facility are equipped with designated handicap stalls outfitted with grab rails. Sinks, soap and paper towel dispensers are all accessible.
