State Fair Park is a place where visitors create memories that transcend generations.
The nearly 200-acre Fair Park is a year-round entertainment venue hosting events, activities and meetings throughout the four seasons.
Home to the Exposition Center, Tommy G. Thompson Youth Center, Milwaukee Mile Speedway, Wisconsin Products Pavilion, and Original Cream Puff Pavilion, hundreds of events are held at State Fair Park each year.

The mission of Wisconsin State Fair Park is to provide a leading year-round venue for agricultural, sports, entertainment, cultural and educational events, providing positive economic impact and social benefits to Wisconsin, ultimately moving the state FORWARD.

Board of Directors
As an agency of the state of Wisconsin, the State Fair Park Board of Directors is responsible for hiring the CEO/Executive Director. They provide fiscal oversight and direction for the Fair Park, while the day-to-day operations and programming of the venue are the responsibility of CEO and staff.
The board is comprised of 13 individuals representing various communities, industries, and members of the Wisconsin state legislature. The board is led by a Chairperson who is appointed by the Governor.
Funding
As a revenue generating agency, State Fair Park does not receive direct taxpayer subsidies, however its employees are State of Wisconsin employees and the Fair Park does receive some benefits and support from the state for capital improvements and repairs primarily related to infrastructure.
About the Annual Wisconsin State Fair
While State Fair Park operates year-round, it was originally created as a home for the annual Wisconsin State Fair, presented by UScellular.
It is the mission of the annual Wisconsin State Fair to celebrate agriculture and other industries paramount to Wisconsin’s rich history and promising future by producing family-friendly, affordable, safe and educational event for all ages and ethnicities, creating memories and traditions to be carried on for generations over the course of its 11-day run.
Agriculture & Exhibits
Visitors can enjoy Ag Village where hundreds of shows and exhibits feature thousands of animals and their exhibitors.
Wisconsin’s largest agricultural showcase is rounded out with educational programs on agriculture and renewable energy, milking demonstrations and much more.
The Wisconsin Products Pavilion offers Fairgoers the opportunity to learn more about what’s made in our fine state as well as purchase a plethora of products to eat on-site or take home for later.
Horticulture, craft, textile and culinary competitions and displays are found in Grand Champion Hall, which is filled to the brim with beautiful creations for all to see.
Food & Beverage
Hundreds of food and beverage concessionaires are sprinkled throughout the Fair Park, featuring everything from the crazy concoctions entered in our Sporkies food competition to Wisconsin’s unofficial official food, deep-fried cheese curds.
The Fair’s signature food item is the world famous and delectably delicious Original Cream Puff, which has been sold at the Fair since 1924. Nearly 400,000 puffs are consumed annually!
Entertainment
There’s no shortage of entertainment at the Fair, with dozens of FREE stages highlighting a broad range of genres including country, rock, pop, R&B, nostalgia, comedy and even interactive, educational shows for families.
The State Fair Main Stage, presented by Potawatomi Casino Hotel, offers headlining entertainment nightly and features some of today’s biggest nationally touring acts.
Shopping & Browsing
The Fair is also a shopper’s paradise, with multiple marketplaces featuring hundreds of vendors who provide every imaginable type of jewelry, home goods, cookware, and as-seen-on-TV products.
Rides & Attractions
Activities and attractions can be found throughout the grounds and include the SpinCity amusement ride and game area, the Sky Glider that offers a bird’s eye view of the Fair, the Giant Slide that will elicit joyous giggles from all, a Central Park bustling with daily activities and so much more.
