Mission: The Wisconsin State Fair Park Police Department strives to provide all businesses and visitors with professional, competent, ethical, and compassionate law enforcement services. Mounted Unit<\/h4><\/div>

Our mounted unit was formed in 1968. What separates our unit with most other mounted units in the world is that all our horses are officer owned. During the State Fair, we have to ensure that our mounts can tolerate the large crowds, loud music, amusement park rides, etc.\u00a0 Continuous training between officer and mount is essential.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Bike Unit<\/h4><\/div>

The bike unit consists of specially trained officers through the International Police Mountain Bike Association. The bicycles are fully equipped law enforcement vehicles with fully functional lights and sirens. Officers with the bicycle unit will cycle on average between 250 and 300 miles each when working the 11 days of the Wisconsin State Fair.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Event Officers<\/h4><\/div>

Officers work the State Fair and year-round events hosted at the State Fair Park. Event officers are sworn officers who train all year long.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Detective Bureau<\/h4><\/div>

Our Detective Bureau was formed in 1957.\u00a0 The bureau personnel are responsible for case follow-up, major case investigation, and diplomat protection. Our detectives are our most experienced group, so they assist young officers who have less experience in conducting investigations.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Duty Officers<\/h4><\/div>

Officers who patrol the park 24 hours a day\/7 days a week, 365 days a year. We have full-time officers who work Monday-Friday and part-time officers who cover the weekend shifts.<\/p>\n<\/div>

During the State Fair, stop by Lost & Found located in the Guest Services Pavilion to see if has been turned in.<\/p>\n

During events held at the Fair Park, you can check at the event site as property remains there until the end of the event. After the event is over, any found property goes to Lost & Found offsite. Please fill out our Lost & Found Item Form here<\/a> and our team will get back to you soon!<\/p>\n
