Who is a Maker? You are a Maker!
From engineers to artists to scientists to crafters, Maker Faire is a place for “makers” to share their work – projects, experiments, hobbies and more – with each other and with the community.
Makers are people who love to explore and learn skills, and the global Maker Movement invites everyone to join in and make something.
We call it the Greatest Show (& Tell) on Earth – and it’s free to attend! Maker Faire will feature demonstrations, hands-on workshops and activity areas; some areas do require a fee. Please visit our website to pre-register to participate at the event and skip the lines – click here!
New attractions and enduring favorites are part of the lineup for our 5th annual event:
- Industry, Career & College Exchange – opportunities to connect with major area employers, colleges and universities and other organizations about the job skills of the future and new career and education paths related to making and the STEM fields;
- Friday Night Preview Party – From Toronto, Canada, the fire-breathing Heavy Meta Dragon art car will be anchoring our inaugural preview from 5 pm to 9 pm. Join us for music, dancing and previews of some of Maker Faire’s special weekend events.
