Tasty Experience at the Wisconsin State Fair
Imagine if you will… It’s Thursday morning, ten o’clock- You have been waiting all summer for this, opening day of the Wisconsin State Fair. Bright sun and not a cloud in the sky as you stroll Grandstand Avenue. Up ahead you spy a spiral of smoke coming from that building…and where there’s smoke there must be fire. NO danger here…just to your waistline. You recognize the familiar smell of a fresh Wisconsin bratwurst sizzling on the grill. Some might think it’s a bit early in the day, but slathered with mustard and topped with sauerkraut you just can’t refuse.
Forging ahead as you nosh on your customized brat you pass a Mom, Dad & the two youngsters lounging on the park bench nibbling on ears of corn. Temptation cannot be resisted. Moments later you’re doing some nibbling of your own with butter dribbling down your chin and taste of fresh sweet corn attacking your senses. Several hours later the sun is setting on the western edge of YOUR Fair Park and its time to put your feet up for a bit…sip an ice cold one at the beer pavilion and relax to some music. No dancing on tables at this spot. One last stroll around the Park…and then the ultimate choice…Cream Puffs on your left…Cheese curds on your right.
DECISIONS DECISIONS... Being the seasoned Fair-goer that you are, you have the perfect solution. Cheese curds for the walk to the car and a 6 pack of cream puffs for dessert at home. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED… and the best part is, there are still 10 days of the Fair to go. Feeding the Fair-goers diverse appetite is our MISSION.
